A/Prof Eileen Lew graduated from the National University of Singapore in 1996 and completed her training in Anaesthesiology in 2004. She completed her fellowship in Perioperative Medicine at the University of Washington Medical Center in Seattle, USA in 2003. Since 2004, A/Prof Lew has been practising at the Department of Women’s Anaesthesia, assuming headship from 2012 to 2017, while serving as Chair of Hospital Transfusion Committee (2010-2019). Her current appointments include Chair of Division of Clinical Support Services, Campus Director of Medical Innovation and Care Transformation and Institution Wellness Officer at KKH. Apart from clinical duties, A/Prof Lew is also committed to the teaching of undergraduates and postgraduates. Her current research interests include mobile health technologies, Patient Blood Management in obstetrics and defining the learning curve of obstetric neuraxial blocks in junior residents.
